Commonly known as SWIFT CODE, Malaysia banks subscribe to this connectivity. With the exception of BSN, most of the banks have their DEDICATED CODE. However, if you have an ISLAMIC ACCOUNT, do countercheck that you got your codes correct or it may be returned back, and this takes ages.
Some banks do allow inter system transfer and charges more, but rule of thumb is that be prepared to have RM20 + 0.125% yanked off from the direct proceeds and another 2% for currency exchanges.
ALL BANKS in PENINSULAR MALAYSIA uses MYKL as their main country and city code, with some post pended with a branch code. LABUAN OFFSHORE ACCOUNTS mostly uses MYKA as their code.
